After extensive research, I have been able to pick seven key factors that if practiced and applied well to your day to today activities will help you be a better person.

Most people try so hard to be what they are not. Forgetting that it’ll be much easier to be yourself than trying to be somebody else. In fact, you don’t even need to to put in extra effort to be yourself. All you have to do is do things the normal way and how you feel most comfortable. If you burden yourself looking up those you think are better than you’re, always take your time to remember that you’re also better than someone else. In this way, you’ll be able to balance and appreciate yourself and what you’re.

Take your time to acknowledge the things you do right. Things like dressing, skill and other achievements.

Honesty is the best policy, tell the truth at all the time. Just as you wouldn’t want to be lied to, nobody wants that as well. Always try to be truthful and direct. It is better to say you won’t do something rather than saying you’ll do it and not doing it. Once you establish this reputation, people will see you as a credible person.

Don’t make excuses for what you’ve done wrong of try to shift the blame on to someone else. Instead use your mistakes as reference to do things in a better way.

Keeping grudges keeps you stuck in the past. Besides, you’ve wronged others too and I am sure you’d want to be forgiven too. Forgive and forget so you can move on to better things as life is too short. Try to help those in need of your help for you may be in need of their help in the future.

Helping someone else gives you more joy than the person you help. And imagine how you’ll feel if somebody forgave you after you did something terrible or if someone helps you in your time of need. So, why not give others such feeling.

The best way to self improvement is through education. Education have always been and will always be the way to learn. So, seek knowledge and be open to other possibilities or changes. Learning doesn’t necessarily have to be in a classroom setup. It could be by reading or by associating with people with the knowledge.

Don’t let what you have or don’t have come between you and the people you associate with. Being generous to people will generate more affection towards you. Try to give, no matter how small or how much you have. The gesture itself is enough for most people. The hand that gives is always above the hand that receives.

Everybody wants to be respected. So why not give people what they want. And what have you got to loose? They say respect is reciprocal. So, respecting people is a win-win situation and all the wins are on your side. First win is that people will think highly of you for respecting them and secondly they’ll respect you as well.

Have you ever try using the word “please” when you don’t actually have to? Try it and see how people will react to you. Try to appreciate people no matter how little effort they put in. It makes them feel good and you gain more affection from them.

Be a better person by trying a few if not all of these key factors. Thank you for taking your time to read my post and Good luck.
